Pebblepath lingered outside of the Circle for a moment, a soaked wad of moss gripped tightly between her jaws. At every moment she’d expected to be chased away, cats simply turned their gazes down. Accepting her presence, at least a little. She wasn’t sure how much any of them knew. Despite being straightforward with the cats she met one on one she still wasn’t sure if her actions had been widely discussed or not. But no one intercepted her as she went to Duskfire’s side, and Pebblepath stayed there for several hours. Watching over the dame was… uncomfortably intimate. She watched as this cat she’d known most of her life struggled in a painful, invisible fight against the sap. She listened to her grunts and groans as she strained to keep herself alive, carefully pressing the moss to her forehead. Ara Thump. Thump. Thump. Hitting the dummy over and over again wasn't half as satisfying when her stomach was rumbling, but Ara kept up with it. Her fur was bristled. Thunderpaw Thunderpaw skittered forth onto the bank once they finally reached the isle, his fur drenched. “Ugh!” He exclaims, wildly shaking out his fur. “Long hair and water do not mix well together!” He felt so heavy and cold. Pebblepath The seeker picked her way across the shallow stretch of shoreline they’d found, grateful to have the Skinner’s insights on the tide at hand. She shuffled through the sand, eyes peeled for the telltale glint of sunlight off the glass she sought. Occasionally she lifted her head to the Skinner for any indication of a new lead or incoming danger, but otherwise Pebblepath kept to herself. Skinner The Skinner walked beside Pebblepath, occasionally speaking only to mention the time and how it would affect the tides. "We should make our way down the cliff soon," she said. "By the time we reach the bottom the tide will have pulled back here, and there may be sea glass or other debris caught in the low caves." Pebblepath Pebblepath trudged back into the Circle, teeth gritting as she limped over to Doepaw's workstation. She grunted as she approached, shifting the bandages she'd applied herself the day prior. "Doepaw?" She called, sitting outside the entrance rather than intruding. "It's Pebblepath. Can I bother you for more-" She grit her teeth, wincing as a shot of pain ran through the wound. "I burned myself. Again." Doepaw There wasn't much to focus her mind on besides busy work, nothing that stimulated her mind than body. It made it all the easier to drift off into a void less sleep, for how long she wasn't sure but Doepaw's eyes fluttered to her name being called outside. A quick snort answered the cat asking for her, followed with quick shuffling around discarded materials. "Mmm.." The apprentice rubbed her eyes to better see Pebblepath, her expression snapping out of the fog to fully focus on the new burns. "Wha-wh...what fuck... you do...just healed..."
